For Editors
For Editors
Guidance for editors managing the editorial workflow on Tudor Journals.
Editorial responsibilities
Editors perform initial screening, assign and invite reviewers, evaluate review reports, and make editorial decisions in line with the journal's peer review policy and publication ethics.
The editorial workflow
- Initial screening: scope, formatting, metadata, required files and ethics checks
- Desk reject or send to peer review
- Invite reviewers and track invitations and reports
- Make decisions: accept, minor/major revisions, or reject
- Move accepted manuscripts through production to publication
Integrity
Editors must manage conflicts of interest, preserve reviewer and author confidentiality, and ensure decisions are based on the manuscript's merit and the reviewers' assessments.
